UPM Graduate Programme 2020
Kickstart your career by joining UPM on our path towards a more sustainable tomorrow.
Our story began with paper and it has taken us to where we are today: in the heart of bioeconomy, innovating for a future beyond fossils. As a global paper industry giant, we are strongly positioned in the forest biomass sourcing chain and therefore in a unique position to advance a circular economy. Biofore is our core strategy and the driving force behind everything we do. It integrates bio and forest industries to create alternatives for non-renewable materials, profitably and responsibly. We are inspired by the limitless opportunities of bioeconomy and constantly innovating for new renewable and responsible solutions. There is a more sustainable tomorrow in the making and UPM Graduate Programme is a part of this endeavour.
What’s in it for you
The UPM Graduate Programme gives your career an exciting start with many opportunities for future development. During the 12-month traineeship you gain international work experience and develop your skills to a new level. We hope you continue your career with us after the programme.
The UPM Graduate Programme offers a bit more than your basic trainee programme. It includes face-to-face and virtual learning days to keep you well informed and up-to-date on all that is important. All participants will also have their own development plan and a personal mentor. Experienced and inspiring UPM manager mentors provide coaching for the trainees throughout the programme.
You will work in one of about 30 unique positions available in nine different countries. We have positions available in sales, finance, engineering, maintenance, and more. The positions offer a fast-paced, exciting, international working environment and a unique opportunity to learn from our professionals.
The candidates will apply directly for a specific role. All of the positions begin with a prep year latest by September 2020. We will build each trainee a unique journey consisting of positions in home country and abroad.
The UPM Graduate Programme is a paid position.
