Individuals or groups of people living or working in the vicinity of sites or operations (own or those of suppliers). Local communities may be affected directly or indirectly by the company's operations. Impacts may be positive or negative and may result from environmental, social, economic, or cultural changes caused by the company’s operations. Impacted communities may include communities in the immediate vicinity, marginalised and vulnerable groups, and indigenous peoples.
