Circular Economy/ Circularity
An economy / process based on the principles of designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use (e.g., through recycling and reuse), and regenerating natural systems.
Comment: This contrasts with the dominant ‘linear economy’ which follows an ‘extract-make-throw out’ approach - where raw materials are collected, processed into products to be used, and then finally discarded as waste.
