Biomass
Biomass is biological material that comes from living organisms and often refers to vegetation. More specifically, in the biofuel / materials context, biomass is material of biological origin excluding material embedded in geological formations and material that was transformed to fossilised material. Biomass includes organic material such as trees, crops, grasses, tree litter, algae, and manure.
