UPM Specialty Materials and Royal Vaassen introduce an ultra-high barrier paper packaging solution suitable for pet food treats and snacks. As the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) introduces stricter PFAS requirements, brand-owners need solutions they can rely on. This PFAS-free, recyclable* fibre-based packaging solution supports compliance with regulatory requirements without compromising performance or brand value.
Pet treats are often oily and aromatic and have traditionally relied on plastic or aluminum laminates or papers with PFAS-based grease barrier. Royal Vaassen’s fibre-based Barryrwrap concept does not compromise the performance required for such a demanding end-use, the solution is designed to meet the strictest requirements, including aroma, grease, light, moisture and oxygen barriers.
