(UPM, Helsinki, 27 September 2013 at 15.30 EET) - Following the changes in UPM business structure announced on 6 August 2013, UPM Paper ENA (Europe & North America) and UPM Paper Asia Business Areas will adopt a new organization structure as of November 1, 2013.
The new UPM Paper ENA will consist of the following three strategic business units (SBU):
· Magazine Publishing & Advertising
· Merchants, Home & Office
· Newspaper Publishing
UPM Paper Asia will consist of two strategic business units (SBU): Fine Papers APAC and Label Papers.
The following persons have been appointed in UPM Paper ENA Management:
Mr Petteri Kalela has been appointed Senior Vice President, Merchants, Home & Office
Mr Ruud van den Berg has been appointed Senior Vice President, Magazine Publishing & Advertising
Mr Winfried Schaur has been appointed Senior Vice President, Newspaper Publishing
Ms Anu Ahola has been appointed Head of Strategy & Energy
Mr Olli Heikkilä has been appointed Head of Business Processes &Solutions
Mr Christian Thaler has been appointed Head of Business Control
Mr Daniel Schwab has been appointed Head of Human Resources
Ms Ulla-Riitta Unkuri has been appointed Head of Stakeholder Relations
The persons mentioned above will form the UPM Paper ENA Management Team and in that role they will report to Bernd Eikens, Executive Vice President, UPM Paper ENA. The Management team’s function members will continue to report to their respective global functions’ EVPs.
The following persons have been appointed in UPM Paper Asia Management
In addition to his role as Executive Vice President, UPM Paper Asia, Mr Kim Poulsen will act also as Head of Fine Paper APAC.
Mr Jaakko Nikkilä has been appointed Head of Sales, Fine Papers APAC, located in Shanghai.
Mr Timo Johansson has been appointed Head of Operations, China, located in Changshu.
Mr Petri Hakanen has been appointed Head of Label Papers, located in Helsinki.
Mr Pentti Putkinen has been appointed Head of Operations, Label Papers, located in Tervasaari, Finland.
Mr York Fang has been appointed Head of Supply Chain, UPM Paper Asia, located in Shanghai.
Mr Raul Ikonen has been appointed Head of Business Control, UPM Paper Asia, located in Shanghai.
Ms Tuija Rinne has been appointed Head of Human Resources, UPM Paper Asia, located in Shanghai.
The persons mentioned above will form the UPM Paper Asia Management Team and in that role they will report to Kim Poulsen, Executive Vice President, UPM Paper Asia. The Management team’s function members will continue to report to their respective global functions’ EVPs. Pentti Putkinen will report to Petri Hakanen.
