UPM finance operations have been developed and reorganised in recent years from delivering transactional services into creating value to UPM's businesses. This was achieved by improving cost efficiency, scalability of the services, and capabilities of the organisation and employees.
“These initiatives have been very successful, and we are now in a position where we can take the next step to focus on quality on our way towards the world-class finance,” says Maria Kortene, Vice President, Group Finance and Record to Report, UPM.
“To reach our targets, we are now looking for new talents to make us even more professional, versatile, collaborative, and dynamic,” Kortene continues. Many open positions cover different levels of organisation, for example Finance Director Record to Report, Manager Business Analysis, Financial Controller and Payables Controller. Jobs are mainly located in Tampere and Helsinki.
Taking responsibility brings added value to the whole company
The new employees should share the eagerness to contribute to the journey towards the world-class finance and have change readiness. Proactive, solution oriented persons with positive “can do” attitude and relevant work experience are welcome to join the UPM team of finance professionals.
“Taking the ownership of the full financial processes and responsibility of the end-result, and seeing how one’s work affects others are important in ensuring quality and adding value to business operations,” Kortene describes the quality standards in UPM Finance & Control.
“Working with us provides an exciting journey in one of the leading finance functions in Finland. We have opportunities to increase expertise as a finance professional under good leadership, and we support personal and professional growth in every career stage. I am looking forward to having new talents to work with all the great colleagues we already have in our team,” Kortene says.
