(UPM, Helsinki, 2 August 2011) - In connection with the closing of the Myllykoski acquisition, UPM Paper Business Group announces the following appointments effective immediately unless stated otherwise.
Sverre Norrgård , President and CEO, Myllykoski Corporation, will retire at the end of this year. Until then, he will support the implementation of the Myllykoski integration and reports to Jussi Pesonen, President and CEO of UPM.
Thomas Ehrnrooth on has been appointed Vice President, Marketing and member of the UPM Paper Business Group Management Team.
In Sales, Wolfgang Bucher has been appointed Vice President, Newsprint Publishers, Jaakko Nikkilä, Vice President, Converters and Jussi Toikka, Vice President, agent market (Seven Seas) sales organisation.
In Manufacturing, Anne Murtola has been appointed Director, Development.
In addition, the following Mill General Manager appointments have been made as of 1 September 2011:
Wolfgang Ohnesorg has been appointed General Manager, UPM Augsburg and UPM Plattling Mills.
Winfried Schaur has been appointed General Manager, UPM Schongau and UPM Ettringen Mills.
Caius Murtola has been appointed General Manager, UPM Jämsä River Mills.
Juha Ebeling has been appointed General Manager, UPM Hürth Mill.
Timo Suutarla has been appointed General Manager, UPM Myllykoski Mill.
Pentti Putkinen has been appointed General Manager, UPM Tervasaari Mill.
Juha Kääriäinen has been appointed General Manager of the UPM Kymi and UPM Kaukas mill integrates.
Kenneth Winberg has been appointed General Manager of the UPM Pietarsaari mill integrate.
Daniel Wiktorin , General Manager of the UPM Albbruck Mill and Russ Drechsel, General Manager of the UPM Madison Mill, will both continue in their current positions. All the other UPM Paper Mill General Managers will continue in their current positions.
Jose Mambrino has been appointed Head of the Supply Chain Integration Project.
Raimo Särkelä has been appointed Director of Technology Projects.
