(UPM Helsinki, 27 April, 2010) - UPM attends Ipex 2010 as part of the PrintCity Alliance stand.

UPM shares the PrintCity theme 'PRINT: Lean. Green. Seen'. These form "the three pillars of profitability" because of their importance to future technology investments and hence customer business growth.

Lean and UPM

For UPM the theme lean means that with our effective operations we offer customers improved profitability through better performing products and lower overall waste. Optimising the use of resources at our production facilities supports lean thinking.

Green and UPM

The green theme is well presented with UPM's product lifecycle approach which considers environmental impacts of a product throughout its entire lifecycle. UPM's papers are made of sustainable raw material, with low emissions, small carbon footprint and recycled fibre. Most of UPM's papers have the EU Eco-label.

Seen and UPM

UPM offers a one-stop shop for different paper needs. At Ipex 2010 UPM presents its wide range of papers focusing on digital and preprint papers as well as papers for sheet-fed offset printing. You can see UPM papers running on for example Océ's and HP´s digital and Komori's sheet-fed offset printing machines.

UPM's technical experts present at the stand

PrintCity's Connection of Competence concept interlinks member companies' know-how which enables visitors to discuss with experts in the printing and converting business.

"Our technical experts are present at the stand to discuss with visitors about all aspects of our products. This ranges from technical data as well as the key aspects of the print production and workflow for optimal results", says UPM's Technical Sales Director Erik Ohls.

He continues: "Our membership in PrintCity offers us and our customers an excellent opportunity to benefit from the 'Connection of Competence' approach - highlighting the combined knowledge of the PrintCity members."

We look forward to seeing you at Ipex 2010 at PrintCity Alliance stand 17-D921.
