EU Ecolabel certificates based on new criteria valid as of January 2020

EU Ecolabel criteria for graphic papers were renewed in 2019. EU Ecolabel is recognised across Europe and worldwide and stands for a label of environmental excellence awarded to products and services meeting high environmental standards throughout their life-cycle. The EU Ecolabel covers a wide range of product groups, from major areas of manufacturing to tourist accommodation.

The EU Ecolabel makes it easier to choose green

The EU Ecolabel criteria provide guidelines for companies looking to lower their environmental impact and guarantee the efficiency of their environmental actions through third party controls.

All UPM Paper Mills in Europe covered by EU Ecolabel Graphic Papers criteria have been certified by EU Ecolabel offering more than 200 different EU Ecolabelled paper grades. UPM’s copy and graphic papers and newsprint papers produced in Finland, Austria, Germany and the UK are now approved according to the new graphic paper criteria EU 2019/70.

New certificates and product lists are valid until 31st December 2024 and available in
