Isabel, Quality Supervisor Assistant, Uruguay
My job at UPM is to control the quality of the plants that are dispatched from the nursery, in particular the Santana Nursery in Paysandú, to the field for its subsequent planting. I work to ensure compliance with the parameters established in the company’s operational standards. Quality control consists of a representative sampling of the population to be dispatched, where a series of parameters that make the success of the plant's survival in the field are evaluated. In addition to this, I support my teammates in controlling activities of other processes.
My workdays during the harvest of plant dispatches consist of constant sampling and reporting to all interested parties; Forestry, Nursery, Quality, and Administration, among others.
Working at UPM is a great opportunity for personal and professional development. I am a part of a great team of people that motivate me to innovate, to grow and above all to feel proud of my work.
