UPM's web site www.upmforestlife.com has been updated to show how forests are regenerated after logging. The new tree planting scene includes a video clip of a lumberjack planting trees and information on machine planting, ground preparation and creating standing deadwood for biodiversity. UPM plants more than 15 million trees each year.

The launch of UPM Forest Life has been a great success and more than 70,000 visitors so far have learned about how modern forestry is practiced today. Furthermore, the site has received international recognition for its unique content and innovative use of technology through being selected as the FWA site of the day and shortlisted as a finalist for a Cannes Lions Festival award.
