UPM ADIC challenge

UPM is looking for new innovations to co-create sustainable Biofore solutions to build circular economy and minimize waste at ADIC this autumn.

UPM is a frontrunner in the forest industry. We value sustainability and responsibility in everything we do, and we are committed to continually deepen our corporate responsibility work in the long term. As a global company we think that by improving our operations we also contribute to a better world.

We see yesterday’s waste as today’s valuable raw material. We have a goal to be a Zero Solid Waste to landfill company by the year 2030. This means that all our waste will be used in energy production or transformed into either our or someone else’s raw material to create new circular economy based products.

We are confident that digitalization enables us to achieve this goal. The challenge is, how to collect, manage and use the data we have of our waste streams in an efficient and a convenient way.

In order for us to achieve our Zero Solid Waste to landfill 2030 target, we need your help. We are asking for your innovative ideas about the smart opportunities digitalization can offer, and together we can do something great for all of us. Solve case UPM and you solve a problem in the bigger picture as well. Less waste today means a cleaner world today and tomorrow.
