UPM-Kymmene Japan KK is the sales company for all UPM business in Japan. Our product range covers all types of paper and label materials as well as timber and plywood. Many UPM products have a history of market presence in Japan going back more than 30 years. A representative office was started in 1975 and changed into local company (kabushiki gaisha) in 1980. UPM name was finally adopted in 2004. Paper sales have been steady business in Japan all this time. Also wood sales were started as early as 1985. Today the range of UPM paper, timber and label materials in Japan is wide and well established.
Printing and publication papers for newspapers, magazines, catalogues and commercial printing, copy paper, specialities and label materials come not only from Finland but from UPM paper mills all over the world. UPM Changshu mill nearby in China is the No.1 source of paper supplies. Wood products come from many different factories in Finland and from a big saw mill in Russia.
