Japanese media delegation visit to UPM Rauma mill
26 Japanese media delegation representing all national and major regional dailies as well as the public broadcaster NHK will visit UPM Rauma mill to study the environmental friendly biopower and paper making on 15th January. The Finland visit’s target is to learn to understand and inform Japanese public of the innovative ways developed in Finland for securing safe, sustainable and environmentally friendly energy in long term.
In addition to Rauma the group will visit TVO Olkiluoto nuclear plant and Onkalo, the ingenious way of permanent storage for nuclear waste developed in Finland. They will also meet Jan Vapaavuori, Minister of Economic Affairs. Esa Harmala, DG of Energy Dept at Ministry of Economy and Ville Niinisto, Minister of Environment.
This is the biggest Japanese group visit to Finland ever.
