Application
After a short time only, REactiv Rephalt has similar properties as a standard hot mix.
Step 1: Tack
First clean the base layer, removing loose debris thoroughly, while keeping it dry or only slightly damp. Treat the base-layer and the edges of the old surface with tack coat.
This is applied in a thin layer with a dry brush.
Step 2: Spread
The next step is to apply mixture to the base layer and spread out using a rake or trowel.
Step 3: Sprinkle
Sprinkle the Rephalt layer that has just been applied with water.
You will need about 1 quart of water per 55lbs. of mixture.
Step 4: Compact
To guarantee the necessary stability and strength, compact the mixture well.
For smallpatches, stamping firmly will be sufficient.
For larger surfaces, we recommend the use of a roller or a vibratory plate.
Step 5: Finished
The finished result is notable. It is immediately resilient and can be opened to traffic right away.
Even slow moving traffic will not affect the freshly compacted layer of REphalt.
