Waste is often seen as a problem; but where some see a problem, others see an opportunity.  Waste is simply a resource in the wrong form and in the wrong place.

At UPM, we share this view and have developed innovative ways to reduce and manage our own waste, as well as to offer solutions for disposing of our products after use.

Our wide ranges of products are made from renewable raw materials and are recyclable. We maximise the possibilities for reuse of our own by-products throughout our global operations, ensuring that we produce products using the minimum amount of raw material, while creating minimal waste.

Today, 90% of UPM's production waste is reused or recycled.
