1. How can I search for positions based in a specific country?
One of our recruitment system´s search criteria is "country". Please select your preferred country and any other desired criteria and start your search.
2. I have already registered with UPM Careers, but cannot remember my user name. What should I do?
Please click on the 'Password Forgotten' link on the login page and fill-in your e-mail address and select 'Request Password'. You will receive an e-mail with a new password and the user name you created earlier.
3. How do I send an open application?
You need to register via UPM's e-recruitment system by completing an applicant profile. This profile provides UPM recruiters with information regarding your employment and education history. When creating your applicant profile you can also add other information like your preferred job.
After you have created your applicant profile you will need to confirm your profile, this makes your information viewable to UPM recruiters via the applicant pool. You can lock your profile at any time but remember, this will remove your profile from the applicant pool meaning UPM recruiters will no longer have access to view the information contained in your applicant profile.
4. Can I submit my CV via e-mail?
In most instances we only accept CVs via the e-recruitment system. However, occasionally an advertisement may state that CVs can be sent to a specific person.
5. How can I apply for a trainee (internship) or thesis worker position?
Trainee and thesis positions can also been found via the e-recruitment system. You need to select "Student/trainee" as the desired search criteria.
6. When will my application be deleted?
We hold applications according to national laws. Generally, the maximum time period an application can be held for is6 months after it was received.
7. I cannot see the job descriptions as they open up in a new window. What should I do?
Please unblock pop-ups in your browser settings. Go to 'Tools' > 'Options' and select deactivate 'Block pop-up windows' > click 'OK'.
8. What browser version does the E-recruitment require?
E-recruitment works well with most of the Internet browsers. SAP is specially supporting Internet Explorer versions 6.0 and 7.0 and Firefox version 2.0.
9. What type of attachments can be downloaded into my profile or application?
The accepted attachment formats are .doc and .pdf.
10. How can I be sure that my application has been received?
You will receive a confirmation e-mail to the address you have provided to UPM via your applicant profile.
11. When can I expect feedback on my applications?
If you have applied directly for an open position, we will typically contact you within two weeks of the close of the application period. In the case of an open application, we will contact you should a suitable vacancy become available.
