UPM Raflatac achieves ISO 9001 certification for its Mexico slitting and distribution terminal

UPM Raflatac has recently achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification for the slitting and sales of self-adhesive label stock distributed from its existing terminal in Tultitlan, Mexico. To achieve this certification, the facility implemented a quality management system conforming to the ISO 9001:2008 standard, which demonstrates a strong customer focus, consistent and reliable processes and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The certification of the Tultitlan facility is an extension of UPM Raflatac’s global, multi-site ISO 9001:2008 certificate, which covers the company’s factories in China, Brazil, Finland, France, Malaysia, Poland, the United Kingdom and the USA, as well as four other slitting and distribution terminals located in Australia, Spain and South Africa.

“UPM Raflatac is widely recognized for a strong commitment to the quality of our label materials, and all of our factories worldwide utilize technology and processes specifically developed for the industry requirements in each region,” says Jose Garcia, Sales Director and General Manager, Mexico and Central America. “We are very pleased to announce this important achievement and look forward to providing our customers in Mexico and Central America with certifiably high-performance products and services.”
