UPM acquires minority of shares of a wood procurement company in Germany

It has access to some 60,000 hectares of forest land in Southern and Western Germany owned by Lignis' shareholders and partners, and it harvests and trades annually about 500,000 cubic metres of wood.

The partnership between Lignis and UPM will open new form of cooperation in the field of wood sourcing. It will also strengthen both companies' position in wood supply market in Central Europe.
