UPM-Kymmene to sell the business operations of its paper sack factory at Karhula, Finland

UPM-Kymmene Corporation will sell the business operations of its subsidiary's, Wisapak Oy Ab's, paper sack factory at Karhula to Pyrollsack Oy, a company based in Kotka.
After the deal, UPM-Kymmene's share of the Finnish market for paper sacks will be about half, which was one of the conditions set by the EU Commission for the UPM-Kymmene merger.
The annual turnover of the factory to be sold is approx. FIM 70 million, and it employs 90 people.
The personnel will continue at the service of the new owners.
Pyrollsack Oy is a subsidiary of Ypap Oy. The company's main owner is Mr. Reino Uusitalo.
The completion of the deal is subject to the EU authorities' approval.
