UPM's newsprint paper UPM Norm will be called UPM News from the beginning of February 2004. The new name is simple and straightforward, stating the end use of the product very clearly.
In connection with name change, a new logo and colour will be launched. The new identifying colour for UPM News is blue instead of the previous turquoise colour. The slogan of the product - "It's Good News" - remains the same.
The changing of the name, logo and colour is part of UPM's brand clarification and it summarizes the latest developments in Newsprint division's strategic work. The aim is to be closer to customers by improving in listening and understanding customer and end use needs better than before.
